But the AI is really poor at times, with players often not making the correct contextual choice, as if they're being dictated by their tactics. Don't get me started on all the non gameplay stuff. But there's massive flaws - and that's just with gameplay. PES 2019 captures the feel and look of the game, and there's lots to love to be sure.

But there's massive flaws Gameplay is hugely overrated.

Buying a player who is a leader can make it so the team will work harder and get fatigued less.Gameplay is hugely overrated. You sign a player who has the superstar trait for example and this can benefit you not just on the pitch, but with sponsorships as well. Players now have traits that can affect your team. The main game mode is once again Master League and I love the way it is deeper than ever. It breaks up the flow of the game and sometimes, I just let an attacker through and put my faith in the goalkeeper rather than the referee! Mastering The Master League It can make trying to win the ball very frustrating. In all, going forward, things feel great and very exciting and just like the real game.ĭefensively is where things get a bit frustrating the referees in this game 99/100 will call a foul on any kind of tackle. The way certain players can fire in shots that can seem like they came off a rocket is very exciting. The passing game in this year's release just feels so much crisper and smoother.

When you are attacking Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 is truly a joy to play. If you are a football fan and quite knowledgeable about the game, this kind of stuff is awesome. Neymar has the ability to win freekicks much easier. Jordan Henderson of Liverpool for example, will be able to get his team going and this will reduce fatigue. It is very cool the way that certain players have traits that set them apart from the rest. For example, one will make it so players do not get tired as quickly, another will make them much better if they come on as a sub. There are close to 40 of these in the game and they can make a major difference to gameplay. There are these new traits that players can have on the pitch which basically serve as a kind of buff like you would get in an RPG.

This along with a few other new additions does soften things a little. The main reason that I was pumped up for Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 was that they managed to secure the rights to Rangers and Celtic! I grew up in Scotland and support Rangers so having the Old Firm in the game was awesome to me.

Well, EA managed to steal that away and that along with a few other teams meant that the licensing issue that has plagued the series since the start is still an issue. One big thing they had was the rights to the various UEFA competitions, most notably the Champions League. One way that Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 cannot compete with FIFA is with licensing and 2019 was the worst year. I feel that with this 2019 version of the game, they came very close to taking the title of best football game once again. Then it sort of fell off and was playing catch up for a number of years. I think that for years Pro Evo was the number one football game you could buy. Not only is Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 the 18th game in the Pro Evo series it would be the last to bear that name before Konami changed it.
